This smoke vent has a unique center pivot design to reduce the concerns of opening against a positive wind condition. The panel system is connected to the building’s control system to automatically open upon signal, or as a failsafe, upon power cutoff detection. With two available operating mechanisms, panels can easily be closed after an actuation without replacing fusible links or other release devices. The system can be routinely tested for performance validation, and reduces repair, replacement and downtime costs associated with alternate smoke vent systems.
